I’ve lived at TGH for two years now and have been really happy with my experience, unit, and amenities. But what really stands out is the staff — Allen leads a very attentive engineering team that responds to my maintenance requests in a timely, fast, and kind manner; I always know I can count on him for help. Additionally, Noe’l is the best concierge, and Monet has made my leasing experience so smooth sailing! I’d recommend anyone lives here.

I have lived here now for going on three years and I stay because the community is so wonderful.
The location is perfect as there is so much to walk to and lots of green spaces. The apartment management and staff are exceptional. Allen and David are amazing maintenance leaders and always go above and beyond to assist those in the building. The Leasing agents and concierge team are kind, thoughtful, and incredible humans too.
Definitely a space worth considering when moving to the area!

Don't let the lipstick on a pig fool you, this is hands down the worst building I have lived in in DC and far from the "luxury building" it holds itself out to be. I'll start with the pros - the location is great, some of the concierge staff are friendly and helpful, the rooftop views are great and maintenance when they do show up to do what they say they're going to have been friendly and helpful. That's about all I can say that's good here.
Now for the bad: This building was so cheaply built... that even the walls aren't straight. My cabinets on the end overlap the wall by over half an inch in some places, doors aren't straight and I even took a door to the head and ended up bleeding when it came right off of it hinges because they didn't bother to install the pins. The appliances are super cheap (your freezer won't even have a light), your windows won't actually open (if you’re in the courtyard building) and even if they did, there are no screens (which is really fun when you A/C doesn't work because it was never hooked up to the unit on the roof like mine). My toilet has backed up, my kitchen sink doesn't always drain and I've been locked out of my unit at least a dozen times, each time being promised they're going to do something about it, but never showing up to do anything. As if all of that wasn't bad enough, you can hear every single step your upstairs neighbors make because the floors are basically just plywood. What's even crazier is that your entire living room floor will shake like crazy when your washer goes into the spin cycle because of how poorly these units are constructed. There are certainly places you can stand where it feels like you're experiencing an earthquake when the washer is in that cycle. I've also been told that my HVAC isn't actually wired into my unit (it's actually wired in to the unit a few floors down apparently so if they turn off the A/C circuit breaker, my unit A/C stops working) and so I'm paying the A/C bill of someone else in another unit. I was promised that would be addressed as well and now nearly 2 months later, and I haven't heard a single update. Management and the concierge are great about telling you everything they’re going to do to try to fix the issues, but unless you’re willing to hound them about these issues, don’t expect anything else to change.
In a word, RUN.
